GOD CAME AS A BABY PDF Print

“God came as a baby, giving and entrusting Himself to me.  He expects my personal life to be a ‘Bethlehem.’  Am I allowing my natural life to be slowly transformed by the indwelling life of the Son of God?  God’s ultimate purpose is that His Son might be exhibited in me.”  – Oswald Chambers

“And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.”  Luke 2:7 KJV

A lot is made over a crowded Bethlehem – chances are good that Mary and Joseph were not the only ones turned away from the swollen village that night.  Augustus added to the economy of this small hamlet as those from the house and lineage of David made their way through to be taxed and tallied.

Why then?  Bethlehem was necessary for prophecies sake – but why the meager accommodations?  Could it be that the stable, or insular, or cave where Jesus was born was meant to convey a message as well?

Perhaps the message is this . . . I have come for all!

No one is left out – there are no cracks you can fall through.  Great or small, all are welcome to “come unto Me.”

The world may rank people.  Jesus saves them!

– Dale
