Built on a solid foundation of proclaiming God’s Word, Comite began as a small mission church in January of 1952.  This Mission became organized as Comite Baptist Church in March of that same year.  Since the beginning, reaching people with the good news of Christ has always been the heartbeat of Comite.  From the start Comite - Church of Compassion - has served as a great beacon of hope to our community.
