ďAm I not as free as anyone else?† Am I not an apostle?† Havenít I seen Jesus our Lord with my own eyes?† Isnít it because of my work that you belong to the Lord?† Donít we have the right to live in your homes and share your meals?† Donít we have the right to bring a believing wife with us as the other apostles and the Lordís brothers do, and as Peter does?† 6. Or is it only Barnabas and I who have to work to support ourselves?Ē† 1 Corinthians 9:1, 4-6 (NLT)

So many questions!

Do you think Paul is having an identity crisis?

No probably not, but the questions heís asking do seem to go deeper than just a rhetorical set up.† Paul is grappling . . . with the same queries that each of us face from time to time.

What about me? . . . . Why am I struggling in this way or that?
