“And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites.  He will judge or reward you according to what you do.  So you must live in reverent fear of Him during your time here as ‘temporary residents.’”  1 Peter1:17  NLT

“If you say, ‘Behold, we did not know this,’ does not He who weighs the heart perceive it?  Does not He who keeps watch over your soul know it, and will He not repay man according to his work?’”  Proverbs 24:12  ESV

So, from these teachings it appears that the proper response of a holy intrusion in our hearts is an observable difference.  In other words, our disposition toward mankind changes to the point where we recognize need – and where inserting ourselves will possibly change the situation for the better.

Simply put, we help.

Why?  We offer our assistance due to the fact that we have been indwelt by a Holy presence.  This divine presence presses our very being to interact with our fellow man in order to bring change – or the possibility of change.  The wonderful result of this God-led action is that it can – and I would say should – bring change to both the receiver and the giver!

You are called to respond!
